WAS UNS BLEIBT
What's Left - The Weight We Don’t Share
After his grandmother’s funeral, Mario feels more estranged from his family than ever.
As the focus quickly shifts to clearing out her house and sorting through what’s left behind, the emotional weight of her passing is pushed aside. His family wants to move on - practically, efficiently, without pause. But Mario longs for something else: a genuine farewell.
This short film traces the quiet, fragile contours of grief - the spaces it carves between people, and the words that are never said. When mourning takes different shapes, even within a family, closeness can slip into distance. What begins with a funeral becomes a search for meaning in absence, memory, and silence.
A tender meditation on loss and the invisible threads that bind - and sometimes unravel - when each heart learns to grieve on its own.
